“This is a remix/mash up I put together of the homey Alexander Spits’ new single Hella using a sample from the new Best Coast Record “Crazy For You”. I think it came together pretty well. Pick up a copy of the Beat Coast Record today, and Alexander Spits’ new project “Until Next Summer” when it comes out August 10th via The Hundreds. Both these fools are super dope.” – Al Lover, Fist Fam, Reflective Flesh Records Alexander Spit X Best Coast “Hella” Al Lover Remix by Al Lover Click here to download “Hella” Al Lover remix

“So here’s the project I put out a couple months ago in a limited batch of 100 with the zine. I’m about out of the hard copies and don’t plan on printing up anymore anytime soon. If you got a copy you’s a lucky fool, if not here’s the project for free download. Crunchy weirdo beats with hella much tambourine. Hope you enjoy.” – Al Lover Click here to download the album free.

“This is a project I threw together over the last few weeks. Woodsist is a great label out of Brooklyn, NY that is really doing some interesting stuff right now. Everything they put out is worth a listen, if not really good. I feel like this is the kind of stuff Hip-Hop producers will be looking to sample 20 years from now. Anyhow, I like the music and decided to remix some of the best tracks from a few of the releases on the label. Super low-fi, off-kilter, distortion heavy, weirdo shit. This is definitely an experimental approach to beat making for me.
“New Mixtape, all 60′s and 70′s soul from below the Mason Dixon, the best kinda soul in my opinion. This is the music that moves me the most out of this era. Really Great stuff, but that goes without saying. Download it for free here.”

“Reflective Flesh Records is a small, up and coming label based out of San Francisco, California that hopes to document the interesting music being made by a group of friends locally, and abroad.”

Keep an eye on this one. Several really interesting and creative DIY projects are in the works under Reflective Flesh, including some top secret Fist Fam grimey insanity. Check out the first release.
AL LOVER-REFLECTIVE FLESH CD AND ZINE
Limited edition CD-R, and zine from Al Lover of The Fist Fam.
100 hand numbered copies
“This is the first official (if you could call it that) release from Reflective Flesh Records! The album, who’s name inspired the label’s existence is a single track mix of lo-fi instrumental, sample heavy weirdo beats produced by Al Lover of The Fist Fam. It’s extremely DYI, an unmastered CD-R, packaged with a zine of collaged images printed at Kinkos, and a couple stickers. Who the fuck would want that? Hopefully you. The official release date is May 11th, and will be pretty hard to aquire.”

Stay posted then so you don’t miss your chance. Here’s a track off the album.
“I love Country Music, I don’t care. It’s Amazing. You know, even some modern stuff is pretty entertaining. It’s full of witty songwriting, no matter how much the record companies have drained the music of soul. That being said, the old stuff is where it’s at. This is a little mix of some good old… old country. It’s kind of all over the place in terms of regional sound, but still all the songs are really good. There’s even one tune reppin’ Spruce Pine NC! Oh yeah, I took it upon myself to draw the cover too. I hope you like it. Download it for free HERE.“

“New Mixtape, 60s Garage and British Invasion stuff. It’s a pretty good range of straight blues influenced tracks to more R&B inspired ones (way to steal black music, fellas). Super Dirty, I hope you like it. Download it for free here.”

“With this project I really wanted to do something dirty, and sloppy (That’s what she said). Anyhow, I wanted it to sound as raw as possible. All the sequencing is done live, and I think it gives it a kind of an organic feel. It makes me think of a band practicing, and tightening up as they go. It’s an ugly thing, and that’s my favorite part about it. I toyed around with some new styles of drum programing. I did less sampling, and all the beats are really minimal. Plus, you can never get enough tambourine. I hope you like it.” – Al Lover, coolallover.com
“So, I got a new project I’m finishing up right now. It’ll be out in April. Basically I’m making a 12 page zine of collaged images as packaging for my new CD. I’m really into the Idea of taking something old and reshaping it into something new. This project will embody that Idea pretty well, I think. Im’a press up a hundred or so copies and see what happens. Hopefully I can sell ‘em all ao I can make another one. Here’s a little sneak preview.”
